What Debra does…….Muddy Horses Progress Report Update

Usually the First question we are asked, is “What do you do?” hence the name of my Blog. This is all of “What Debra does…”

I worked this Painting Yesterday, I am blocking in the Trees. Its a bare Winter Forest, so not allot going on. Just a bit more from here. Also I do want the horses to stand out, so my background fits with being soft and muted a bit. I need to make the Chestnut horse rump stand out more, so I will lay in some Tree background color to do that next.  Right now it’s a bit to light behind his rump…….

What Debra does…….Muddy Horses

Usually the First question we are asked, is “What do you do?” hence the name of my Blog. This is all of “What Debra does…”

“Muddy Horses” covered in mud. Painted in hand mixed oils.

This is what I am working on right Now. Winter Season, aka Muddy Horses Season is on its way! Well the Good News is my arms get a workout with all the Grooming that will Need to be done. I LOVE that the Chestnut horse is using his pasture buddy to clean the Mud off of himself!…….

I need to take off some of the darker horses rump, its a bit to high. When I paint the background in I will do that. The trees are all bare Trees, its Winter in this moment. I like the shadow on the front of the Chestnut. And the inclination of his head also. Just so fun.
